Residential Asphalt Replacement

Asphalt Paving

Driveway Repair and Replacement

Asphalt Replacement of driveways is necessary when the existing asphalt is badly deteriorated or the underlying gravel base shows indications that it is failing. Removing and replacing asphalt is also necessary if the proper drainage of the driveway cannot be achieved because the area is too flat.

The driveway replacement process begins with excavating the existing layer of asphalt. We then inspect the gravel base and determine if there are any areas that need to be removed or if additional gravel needs to be added prior to paving. The gravel base is then graded and compacted. Then we install 2.5" of asphalt and and compact it to a finished depth of 2.0". We tamp the edges of the driveway for improved strength and longevity.
